We love to be on the go. Summer is a great time to go and explore. New critters have emerged. Plants are at their all time beauty. Bugs, oh bugs, they are everywhere.

We took a trip this past Friday to the McDowell Nature Center. The kids had a blast, we were the only kids there! We got to watch a lady feed all of the critters in the center. Then we took a walk on one of the many trails. The trail was along a creek. We found our very favorite beetle the "Click Beetle" or "Eyed Elater".

As we were leaving a car pulled in and a gentleman and his wife and dog came over. The children politely greeted them. The man said, "You must not be government schooled, You have to be homeschool or private schooled." Wow, I said, "Yes we do homeschool. How did you know?". He said, "Because your children are so courteous and well spoken." I was feeling rather proud at that moment. Thank God he didn't pull up when they were kicking each other and Logan was cursing something.
On the way home Logan had a little notepad and pencil. She was scribbling, page after page. I told her to practice writing her name or just the letters: L,o,g,a,n. She said, "No, I am writing Spanish!"
