Simple Pleasures
My memories of summer break were simple. Spending lots of time at my grandmother and cousins, going for walks to Fewell Park, slip and slide, running through the sprinkler, helping my grandmother with the garden, taking a trip to the mountains for the day and having a picnic lunch, Hopewell Hash day in Hickory Grove, taking naps, and exploring everything around me. Summer is the time to unplug the TV, gaming systems, and to enjoy the simple pleasures of summer.

The simple pleasures are truly the best ones. Getting under the sprinkler is a summer ritual for one generation after another. I remember the fresh smell of the wet grass. What happy times!!
